TRAINING
Janet Harwell is a Certified Member of the National Guild of Hypnotists.
NGH was established in 1951 and is the oldest, largest and most respected organization for professional hypnotists,
www.ngh.net. She practices
in accordance to their Code of Ethics and Standards. She is also a certified member of the International Medical & Dental Hypnotherapy Association (IMDHA), American Board of Hypnotherapists (ABH), and the National Federation of NLP. She was originally
certified through the International Medical & Dental Hypnotherapy Association
after completing the initial 120 hours of hypnosis training at Anne King's
Hypnosis Center in Boerne, Texas, www.hypnosisclasses.com.
She become a Certified Hypnotist on February 1, 2001. Since that time,
Ms. Harwell has studied under numerous well-known hypnotists and continues
to attend seminars, lectures, national hypnotists conventions and workshops
annually to further her education and to fulfill the continuing education
requirements of her professional organizations. Workshops and additional training have included: Sports Hypnosis, Weight Loss Hypnosis, Regression, Pediatric Hypnosis, Fibromyalgia, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Stress Reduction, Smoking Cessation, Hypnoanesthesia and Pain Management, Rapid Inductions and Coma States, Sexual Dysfunctions, Regression Therapy, Attention Deficit Disorder, Emotional Freedom Technique, Diabetes Management, and Hypoglycemia. She has a basic certification in NeuroLinguistic Programming (NLP) through the National Federation of NLP. In 2004 she became a Certified HypnoBirthing® Practitioner (now inactive) and in 2006 became a Certified HypnoCoach™.
HER APPROACH
Janet Harwell believes that
individuals have the right to choose or practice alternative or non-mainstream
therapies. Hypnosis is a safe, non-invasive tool you can use to help yourself.
The services she renders are held out to the public as a form of motivational
coaching and education with instruction in self-hypnosis. She does not
represent her services as any form of health care or psychotherapy and
despite research to the contrary, by law she may make no health benefit
claims for her services. She uses hypnosis to motivate her clients to
eliminate negative or unwanted habits, facilitate the learning process,
improve memory and concentration, develop self-confidence, eliminate stage
fright, improve athletic ability, and for other social, educational and
cultural endeavors of a non-medical nature. In general, she helps people
to cope with the normal problems of everyday living by utilizing various
hypnosis techniques, NeuroLinguistic Programming (NLP), and guided visualization.
Various bioenergetic healing techniques such as EFT, Reiki and Bach Flower
Essences may also be offered.
